Originally known as Vans #36, the Old Skool model was launched in 1977 with a unique innovation: a doodle pattern designed by founder Paul Van Doren, and originally called 'jazz stripe'. Today, the famous Sidestripe has become the instantly recognisable emblem of the Vans brand. Featuring a hard-wearing black and white suede and canvas upper with a checkerboard print, these Old Skool low-top shoes with Velcro fastenings pay homage to our heritage whilst remaining as iconic as ever. They also feature a reinforced toe, a padded collar for extra support and our iconic waffled rubber outsole.
